AI-Driven Order-to-Cash: From Hype to High-Impact

Why Shared Services Must Evolve or Be Replaced in the Age of Autonomous Finance

AI is automating the heart of O2C, from collections and dispute handling to proactive risk signals. The SSC model needs to shift from transaction factory to intelligence hub or risk becoming obsolete. This session challenges legacy playbooks and outlines a path for leaders ready to lead overdue prevention with AI orchestration

The Impact of Escalation: Maintaining Momentum in Cash Collection

A look at key role escalations play with maintaining momentum in the O2C process. Without an escalation point a business will inevitably find cash collection slowing and experience a downturn in those key metrics of DSO and BDA.  Yet many businesses still wrestle with making the decision to move a debt to third-party collections or legal. This session takes a look at the critical role third-party debt recovery and legal action play in the cash collection process and how some O2C professional can address some of the perceived barriers to escalation.

Complimentary buffet style lunch will be served.

Step into "The Situation Room" an immersive half-day experience designed to accelerate leadership in the O2C domain. Through realistic, high pressure scenarios, participants take on the role of O2C leaders, navigating challenges across the credit spectrum. This hand-on simulation sharpens strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication skills under time constraints - mirroring real-world business complexity.

Whether you are an emerging leader or a seasoned professional, you'll craft and present board-level recommendations and gain insights that go far beyond traditional training.

Eefje Van Craen,Senior Director – Product Strategy, Corporate Credit Risk, Moody's

You could say I fell into credit risk by accident, but once you're in, you can't escape (Stockholm syndrome, anyone?).

For over a decade, I’ve worked with corporations across Europe to navigate credit risk, simplify decision-making, and sleep a little better at night. But in my new role, it’s not just about telling the story. I get to help write it.

As Senior Director of Product Strategy for Corporate Credit Risk at Moody’s, I work from the inside out to shape solutions that align with real-world business challenges.

I’m about making things work smarter, not harder, whether that’s automating tedious tasks or helping businesses make better credit decisions faster.

I like ensuring our clients aren’t bogged down in the minutiae. They need to focus on the real, high-impact decisions, like when to extend credit or how to mitigate risk when global supply chains decide to throw a tantrum.

What drives me is closing the gap between the aspirational vision and what clients actually need. I help shape tools like MaxSight™ and Moody’s View into solutions that deliver clarity over complexity, because it’s not about ticking boxes, it’s about solving real problems.

I thrive on blending innovation with what actually works. Whether it’s listening to customer feedback, aligning internal teams, or building strategy around real use cases, I focus on combining business insight with practical innovation that makes a difference.

Perry L. Passen, president, possesses over 30 years of advertising agency experience. He has been with PPA Graphics for 29 of the 30 years PPA has been in business. Prior to that he worked at Gunder & Associates, a midsize advertising agency in Columbus, Ohio, and Griswold Advertising Agency that was a $90 million firm based in Cleveland at that time. During these 30+ years, he has created, orchestrated and managed thousands of successful communications campaigns for hundreds of clients in many diverse fields. Perry graduated in Consumer Behavior and Advertising from The Ohio State University where he also participated on the varsity baseball team. Perry currently lives in Ashville, Ohio, with his wife Joan and is very active in at-risk youth church outreach efforts including working with the church’s indoor Christian skatepark. Other activities include hiking, kayaking and providing personal hitting/catching instruction.

UNKNOWN FACT:

I went to the same high school as Archie Griffin and they wanted me to wrestle in practices against his brother Ray, who eventually played for the Cincinnati Bengals! I don’t think that would have worked out too well for me.

Andre Bordalo Ramos

With over a decade of experience in the banking sector, I’ve had the privilege of holding various roles in underwriting, risk management, and banking supervision, where I was part of a team with the ECB and the Central Bank of Spain. One of the most rewarding chapters of my career was during the COVID crisis, where, as a supervisor, I partnered with one of Iberia’s largest financial institutions to help them successfully navigate the unprecedented challenges of the time.

Now, at Moody’s, I’m thrilled to be making a difference by supporting non-financial corporates of all sizes and segments and governmental institutions in assessing and monitoring credit and financial risk, proactively identifying potential issues, and strengthening the resilience of their risk management strategies. It’s an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful outcomes in an ever-evolving financial landscape!
